There are many proofs that the rapture/resurrection does not occur before the great
tribulation, but at the end of it. Here are six of these proofs:

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 tells us that the rapture/resurrection occurs AFTER the Antichrist is
revealed: “Now we ask you, brothers regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our
being gathering to him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit,
nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ has already come. Let no man
deceive you by any means, for that day shall not come until the apostasy occurs first, and
the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.”

Revelation 20:4-6 tells us that the rapture/resurrection will occur AFTER the mark of the
beast, and that there will be no rapture/resurrection of the saints preceding it: “I saw thrones
on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of
those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the
word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image, and had not received its mark
on their foreheads or hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ 1,000 years, while the
rest of the dead did not come to life until the 1,000 years were finished. This is the first
resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who take part in the first resurrection. The second
death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign
with him for 1,000 years.”

Matthew 24:29-31 states the rapture/resurrection will occur AFTER the tribulation is finished:
“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon
shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies shall be
shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in in the sky, and then shall all the
tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven
with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and the
angels will gather the elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.”

Matthew 13:27-30 reveals that the saints will be gathered and brought into the coming
kingdom on earth AFTER all others are singled out for destruction: “The servants came to
the owner and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in the field? Where did the weeds come
from?’ He said unto them, ‘An enemy did this.’ The servants said unto him, ‘should we gather
the wheat?’ But he said, “No. because while you are pulling the weeds, you might uproot the
wheat. Let both grow together until the harvest, and then I will say to the harvesters, ‘First
collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it
into my barn.’”

1 Thessalonians 4 15-17 states that the single gathering of the single set of elect believers
will occur at the SINGLE coming of the Lord: “For this we say unto you by the word of the
Lord, that we which are alive and remain at the coming of the Lord shall not precede them
which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then
we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet
the Lord in the air. And so shall we ever be with the Lord.”

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 reveals that the rapture/resurrection will occur at the LAST trumpet.
There will be no additional trumpets following the rapture/resurrection. The saints are
currently mortal. But at that time, the saints will awaken and be changed from mortal to
immortal: “Listen, I reveal a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a
moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead
will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”
